Walbro Fuel Pump

Lads, just lately there has been a serious whine coming from my walbro fuel pump, is this a sign of the pump about to fail? The car seems to be going ok, but only ok, and Im noticing some funny readings on the power FC on the following screen:

Go to screen that gives the options - Monitor
Settings
Other or something (Not sure)
Go into settings and than go to the boost option.
In here there is a kind of table giving the following readings:

1. 1.0bar......32...255
2. 1.1bar......36...255
3. 1.2bar......42...255
4. 1.3bar......48...255
5. 1.4bar......56...255

The highlighted line is the line that changes from 255 down to 200, This value always stays at 255 unless shes over boosting than it goes down to 200 as a result of the boost going over what the car was mapped for and the car noticably looses power. This has only started happening ever since the pump started making a whining noise at idle, therefore leads me to believe the pump is at fault. The knock value never crossed 10.

Anyone any ideas....? :ponder:

if the pump is louder than normal or whiney like you say then it could be a sign its about to fail. How old is it?

It was brand new and only put in at the end of feb. I still have the origional pump, Ill try it tomorrow and see, dave do you have a walbro pump?
