Air flow meter

Is it a common prob for the AFM to keep going on the MY99 impreza? Especially with an induction kit fitted? Any solutions?

is it getting soaked in oil??

has it got oil catch can fitted?

Also is the MAF,sitting to the top of the intake pipe,and is the MAF/airfliter pipe tied down correctly,if its floating around it will bump around and destroy the MAF....??
I had problems wit mine before MY00,Its a common thing with those model MAFs to give probs though....

Its already remapped with power fc with loads of mods. Thanks for the suggestion tho.

It had a small bit of oil on it. I tried cleaning it but no joy. I fitted a new one today and its brand new. I was lookin for solutions so it doesn't go again any time soon.
No oil catch tank fitted, but I have the crank case gasses releasing to the atmosphere!!
Yes I know its terrible for the environment!!
