oil filter

should i use a genuine subaru filter when changin the oil or does the filter matter its a 94 wrx
 
I'd use the genuine one for piece of mind.
I got 2 for €15 at the main dealer the last time

no its just handier to get the filter when i'm getting the oil and the local dealer is a gobsh1te and i wasnt sure if it made a difference
 
Defo use genuine, make sure you fill it to the top with oil and oil the rubber seal before you fit it.
