Should I oil my Green panel filter?

Should I oil my Green panel filter before fitting it? I thought the MAF doesnt like oil?

Fitted it earlier today and you can notice a difference. Throttle response is better.
 
Haven't fitted a Cotton Green filter in years, but if the instructions in thre box (or if oil supplied) then it must be oiled.

You dont need to Oil them when new, after you clean it then it will need a very light spray.
