6 speed box for classic

As above lads thinking about a 6 speed for me typr r as on long runs she sits at high revs not good for the pocket.
Anyone have one or heard anything about fitting them to a classic im still looking for the short shift like the oe box just with the extra gear.

As far as I know rear diff is different - but it's not a big problem. You just simply have to get one I guess.
6speed new age gearbox is, afaik again, also a bit longer, but new age drive shaft is shorter, so no problem there.
Mounting points shouldn't be a problem I hope.
A bigger problem is that rear axle rods are longer in new age, so you need to prepare shorter for a classic.
Or something like this - sorry if I confused part names, I hope you know what is it about.

Actually - doesn't Type R have rear diff the same like new age? R180?
If so, I guess there's one less problem

Have you thought about fitting the longer 5th gear from a Limited Type R?
