CV JOINT

hey guys just rang subaru and i asked them how m uch to change the cv joint he told me i had to buy the whole unit or something and i cant just buy the joint. he said they dont sell it like that. and it would cost over 200euro. can anyone tell me if this is true and you cant buy them on their ow n.

better off gettin genuine rather than that noname stuff especially on a performance car...

i got one for €76 for the 95 legacy

is it inner or outer cv joint? outer is easy to replace so i'd get a single part there. inner is slighty more difficult but they do sell em. they normally recomend gettin a new half shaft which comes with the inner and out cv joints on em and boots. it's much easier for them to tkae out d old shaft and stick in a brand new one. it costs less in labour but more for d part. i got a new outer cv joint for €94 would cost 130 off main dealer. whole shaft woulda cost 370 wit a discount for me cos i'm special!!

is that 370 for the whole lot, labour excluded
