Hello all just after joining site. had a wrx in 2002 for 1.5 years and thinking of going back to the scooby. sold my 2005 gti golf and wanna buy something over 300bhp. my heart says escort cossie but head says unchartered water and will i be buying a share in local mechanics............... so thinking of going across the pond to buy a wr1. think they the best looking subaru and 316 horses sounds good to me !!! also if anyone interested my friend is selling his 2002 version 8 sti loads of money spent on it ( prob worth double what he asking for it) its still on eng plates. on www.carzone.ie if ya wanna look. black in sligo 14,900 euro

ya from sligo as well but working in dublin so hopefully gonna buy wr1 and keep using the trusted 1.4 escort for up and down from dublin. only getting 330 miles to tank anyways in it but think its more to do wit my driving. god bless the roads at 5 am never a copper in site. 121 miles in 87 mins on a sunday morning in the gti !!
 
Hopefully may just waiting on credit union. ya have to leave your money in 12 weeks before allowed to borrow again. i thought that tax is only on new cars bought after july or are they bringing it in on imports from uk as well ???

:lol: :lol: Not many around the west. There was one in Longford last year and there was one in Bundoran for the WRC which i didnt get to :) Theres a good few members in Galway so could organise something with them sometime. The club might be meeting in Enniskillen for Straightliners around September :D But ya wine st car park is where you see some quality starlets and corsas :lol:
 
Dont forget the 1.4 type r's............ even though cant say much my woman has one ha ha. seen a wr1 on carzone for 39500 euro. fair enough only 18,000 miles on it but they in uk for 15k sterling which is 18300 euro and 9500 to clear

With the euro doing so good against the pound England is the place to go. Apart from the wr1 there is the Jap models like S203 and Spec C :D
