iacv gasket

ive bought most gaskets for my 99 type r, can you explain what gasket that is, i dont recognise the short hand

i have one on the way from carrol's. if you wait a day or too i could tell ya, if its the same as a 65 single turbo legy that is

Getting a cel up and the code is idel valve changed the valve cleaned it the only thing left is the gasket :dunno:
Would it be sucking in air causing cel???
Cheers for the reply

my yoke calls up “check engine”. i had it plugged in and it reported a code 42 or 24 which was AICV. its €310 for one which is pure loco for a sensor so i ordered a gasket to see if i could clean it out and check if that is the problem. what were the symptoms that let you to doing this?

Same as yours just getting a cel up changed and cleaned everything bar the gasket.
On a cold morning start the car and cel was on when the car heats up its gone.
I just thin it might be sucking in air somewhere :dunno:
I have a pain in me back wheels with it at this stage
Let me know how you get on with yours

IACV =idel air control valve..if the gasket is gone then its probably takin in excessive air causing rough runnuing r rough tickover r hunting...replace he gasket and c how u get on.
