oil pressure on sti

anybody know if this sounds wrong????
fit an oil pressure gauge to my sti and on idle its reading 38 psi but on heavy acceleration its up near 90/100 psi at the oil filter.
not sure but sounds wrong.
 
those readings are correct. the pressure will be low on idle (when warm) and rise when you press the accelerator.
 
i understood that but didnt think it would rise to the max on the gauge at 100psi or 6.5 bar.
