ethe tyre was off the rim this morning, feckn donuts, never again.
so i tried to change it.
didnt i round one of the wheel nuts. what a bal*s.

so i drove down the road to pump it.
pump it and there was a big hole in it.
i plugged the hole (as anyone would) ;)
and its flat again. great the joys of motoring.
but i still cant get the nut off,
one off the lads (mechanic) said id have to mig wield it and hed get it off then. he had no mig.
has anyone else an idea.

Same thing happened me at christmas time in the middle of nowhere. Tried welding nuts on but hammer and chisel was the winner in the end. There are special reverse thread tools which bite into the wheel nut and start the turn, where are you?

Where are you located?

A decent recovery service will have the reverse thread tool that will take it off.

15 miles outside tralee.
what a headache,
have to get a truck to get it in to town or get someone to come out if i can.
itl have to wait till the weekend now.
dont use cheap nuts, il have to get good ones.
what type of nut will fit these wheels...there deep.
would the volk racing nuts fit? these are ment to be a rep of them.

do you need like allen keys to take them off ?? if you hammer in a bigger allen key into it maybe

ya tried everything ..na i just looked at it and was sickened.
nop its too tight, im going for and go at it now.
anyone got a match :D

Hello DohcTurbo,

If you ring Advance Tyres in Tralee, they should have a mobile fitter which can get it off for you

There was a thread up here a while ago about removing a rung wheel nut, I cannot find it...... but a good tyre fitter is one of the ways to go

Cheers,

Michael

think i made it worse.
whoever goes at it will have some looking at me.
i drove the bit in and it has some grip but not a hope itl turn.
by driving it in think i made the nut bigger and its jammed on the wheel.
i better leave it to someone that knows what to do. :doh.

the call out could be expensive but would be worth it in the end, at least if they break anything they have to pay for it.

Hello DohcTurbo,

I pay €45 for a call out in Dublin + Labour

Sure speak to them first and see what they can do for you

Cheers,

Michael

ya i better, its too cold and windy out there to be doing it myself.

wow 45+labour, cheers mike.
think il plug it again and drive in to pmg, must get tyres off him anyway.
il just say throw 2 tyres on her, and let him worry about it.
