Engine check light?

I have a 95 classic WRX from japland. When the engine has warmed up proparly, the engine check light will come on and it will not boost proparly(you can feel it kind of restricting itself). Some times this takes a long time to happen and sometimes it happens all the time. Anyone any ideas what it could be?
 
I dont but i work in car sales so can bring it in to the workshop and it should show up on their diagnostics shouldnt it?
 
If ya not sure how to do diagnostics,rather take it to Subaru and i think its about €50 for a diagnostics... :thumbsup:
 
sounds like wat my car is doing, its awful anoyin.. its showin up code 12 on mine which is da starter signal.. still cant find a way to fix it! best get a dianostic done by subaru :thumbsup:
 
how do you do a diagnostics without taking it to subaru
