Re: Rally Mexico Curent Leader Board

World Rally Team Ireland this week is starting out on their bid to win the Junior World Rally Championship. This is the first, of six rounds of the Junior World Rally Championship. This will see the team compete in Jordan, Germany, Finland, Spain and Italy. Shaun Gallagher, Donegal man and current Rookie of the Junior World Rally Champion is at the wheel in the teams new Citroën C2 – super 1600. Accompanying Shaun in the cockpit is Michael Morrissey a co-driver with vast world wide experience of rallying. Tommy Mullen, chief executive officer said; "Competition in the World Rally Championship is always demanding, in very aspect. We are competing against the best the world has to offer in rallying. We are confident that Shaun and Michael have the right blend of youth and experience. Mexico will be a big learning curve for the whole team, as this is our first year competing here." Shaun Gallagher said; "I feel a huge sense of pride representing Ireland on the World rally stage. Winning the Best Rookie last year was a surreal experience and we will be looking to build on that in 2008. It's demanding when you are competing in temperatures of over 30° Celsius. The car is performing well we are getting to grips with new pace and technology in the car. I would be delighted if we could finish in the point for our first time out this year."

Re: Rally Mexico Curent Leader

Chris Atkinson and Stephane Prevot grabbed second position overall aboard their Subaru Impreza WRC2007. Petter Solberg and Phil Mills however fell foul of the conditions and were forced to retire mid-way through the morning’s stages.

COME 0N !!!!! the Scooby's.
