Test radiator fans

As above, I saw somewhere to plug in green test plugs in passenger do it well and they should cycle?
Have never noticed them on.
This right?

Depending on which car you have the green plugs can be on the driver side. TURN OFF THE IGNITION. Plug in the green plugs, and when you tun on the ignition the fans will turn on.
