Just a quick question about the sti,when and at what year did they start painting the inlet manifold red...???was it from the 96/97 or were all the Sti's painted red???
 
From the guide I wrote for the main site...

The WRX STi Version III models followed suit and were distinguished by their pink grille badges, WRC-style foglight covers, small STi badges on the front wings and striking boot decals. As with the WRX models, the STis had their intercoolers positioned flat under the bonnet scoop and to distinguish a genuine STi, induction manifolds were now painted red.

roger clarke motorsport have manifolds with the red flakey paint like standard sti's.
they do an exchange for your own for round 300.
