De-catting 1995 Impreza

Hi lads, I've a 1995 Impreza uk turbo, big standard. If it's decatted will it need to be remapped? I may be fitting a decat pipe and backbox so just want to know beforehand if I can just bolt them on or should I budget for a few mapping adjustments afterwards?

needs to be remapped for best gains
but u.k. / irish classics are safe without a map
ran mine without a map for 3 years or so

I would def do a remap going decat

Run fine after, but for best results and to get the real benefit you'd need a map.

Gotcha. Didn't realize there was that big of a diff in the jap and U.K. Models. Silly yank I am.

Thanks for the replies lads, I'll just stick to fitting a backbox, I want to stay as close to original as possible, and also don't want the fuel bill to increase by fitting a decat!
