Control unit acting up

Have a weird one here. My window / mirror control unit is acting up. Ever since I replaced it the driver side window and mirror controls don't work. All other Windows works fine. Though it just needed time to sync but has been a month now unit is the same as it was replaced with except it came from a UK model.

Do you previously change the motor? If you did,'change the switch.

its the whole unit that was replaced motor and all, anyway I am getting a new unit and also the rear switches to test with so we can narrow it down a bit, I thought it may had something to do with the jap part in a UK car, and it needed re-wireing. but it should be a straight fit

Ok so tried another unit, the car didnt react to the new one at all. this is a strange one, it all works except my window controls and the driver window cant go up in one go but only little bits. any advise welcome

maybe motor or reg :dontknow:

seen this online but for 2013 outback maybe try that or something similar
look at last part especially im thinking

B: INSPECTION

2) Turn the ignition switch to ON.
3) Operate the power window main switch to open the window glass halfway.

5) While the window glass is fully closed, hold down the power window switch to “UP” direction for one second.
6) Operate the power window main switch to “AUTO DOWN” direction to check whether the window fully
opens properly.

2. RESET OPERATION B
1) Sit in the driver’s seat and close the door.
2) Turn the ignition switch to ON.
3) Perform “AUTO UP” operation for the driver’s side window glass, by fully pulling up the power window
main switch to cause the reverse operation (in reverse operation, the window is repeatedly fully closed and
then reversed to open it slightly.) 10 times in row.
4) Check that the “AUTO UP” does not operate.
5) Perform reset operation A.
6) Check that the window operates properly by operating the “AUTO UP” and “AUTO DOWN” switch.

thing is, its not just the window the mirror controls dont work as well. that sits just on top of the window switches.

considering power draining the car to do a hard reset of the unit

yeah good point
maybe dodgy wires on connector block or break in wire
if doing same thing on 2 switch units :dontknow:

Didn't work as well. Will try another car and if that not work I'll guess I order a new unit
