I've a v5 sti and Ive 3 ecus put into it in a year. It's a type r.
And no its not dampness. It just goes out of the blue. Like the last time I parked the car outside the house. Came back out two hours later and car won't start. What ever happening it's disabling the fuel pump. Pump won't prime or come on. And no there's no immobiliser or alarm. Put in a good ecu and car goes first turn.

Is there any body that this has happened to?

Anyone know can you fix the ecu??

Has anyone an ecu? J2 three plug?

It's not normal, are you sure there's no short circuit somewhere?

Also check if there's no leak coming from the heating matrix under the dash. It's common to leak towards the passengers foothold and Ecu direction.
