MY02 bug WRX fuel filter, engine bay or under rear seat?

So, just wanted to ask where exactly is the fuel filter? On my Hawk it was under rear seats, but from what I found on internet, this one could be in Engine bay?

Is there only one fuel filter or two?
 
It's in the engine bay. Just to the right of the intercooler
 
oh, thanks! And thanks god! getting into tank is not one of my favourite things...
 
Fuel filter is always on the passanger Shock tower even on a hawk . Or you mean fuel pump

06-07 Hawk WRX / STI have an in-tank fuel filter (on the pump assembly bracket) which needs to be replaced every 60k miles.
Means rear seat out and gauge / pump assembly out of the tank.
So far have only seen the filter for sale from Subaru as no aftermarket parts that I know off.

AFAIK this is only for the 06-07 model and previous ones are indeed on the shock tower.
 
the 2.0l jdm hawk has it joe just like yours in the engine bay

only the uk hawk cars has it in tank I think
 
:thumbsup: Cheers Johnny never heard f an extra filter in the tank to be honest just the sock on the fuel pump :thumbsup:
