Hi guys, any thoughts/advice would be much appreciated.
Imported a 2007 JDM manual legacy gt spec b. Keyless, push button start.
Lads were able to drive it off the ship, after starting with a battery pack, but it cut out on the way to the yard.
Put in a new battery and also a new fob battery.
When you hook up the battery the car goes straight to the on setting/position but nothing else. The fob won't lock or unlock doors either.
Tried unhooking the negative of the battery. Holding the key against the start button, no joy.
There is an illuminated red key symbol on the instrument panel and if you move the key a few meters away a orange key symbol lights up.
My thinking is the immobiliser senses a key is near but doesn't recognise it.
Also why is the car going directly to the on position when the battery is attached.
The car is in a Subaru garage now and it has them stumped too. They are trying to get a wiring diagram from Subaru Japan.
Any ideas ??
