engine swap question

I'm doing an engine swap at the moment,I have an English turbo 2000 and want to put that engine into a 1997 wrx,so I have both engines out and they look exactly the same except the turbo and some other minor things but is there anything I should know about like are injectors the same etc...thanks in advance
 
Heads different.

manifold wiring loom etc different.


So will need to use all your 97 bits and only use 00 short block.
 
I was hoping too get away with having to strip them both down,so will the UK spec heads not work in the wrx then?
 
So let's get it straight. You have a 97 and 98 wrx Engine if that's the case there they will Swap straight over But will need to get it mapped
 
Sorry lads,to be clear I'm putting an engine from a 98 English turbo into a 97 wrx think it's version 3,they both look exactly the same,all connectors and wiring etc

Ok.

That be straight swap.


Swap i assume your ihi vf turbo to uk engine.

Swap inlet manifold keep your wiring and injectors etc. Although both should be grey.
 
Happy days, yea turbo off wrx is ihi so I'll swap that but everything else looks same is intake manifold differant?
