Well, 8 months living in America now and I have to say I have taken quite nicely to their cars.

The next best sound to a Scooby is without doubt...a 1967 Shelby GT500E "Super Snake"

oh and my scooby replacement!!! is one of these. She hasnt given me a days trouble since I bought her for $3500.

A miserable 160 BHP @4000 RPM.
225 ft lb of Torque @ 2500RPM.

Done 10000 miles in her in 8 months. Driving this is like floating on a cushion of air.

There was more than one super snake. A company called Unique Performance made them. They have since gone out of business. New York Yankees player Jason Giambi has a silver GT500E Super Snake.

Im still new to this American Muscle stuff so I will have to do a little more research :lol: :lol: :lol:

no mustang expert or anything and wasn't beingt a smart ar$e..would never of known there was only one.. but the story was all over the motoring press this week..his version is a gt500E (as you said) which was built around 2001/2 based on the vintage mustang. only 75 of these where built by Unique perfromance so they are a rare motor and you were right.

The original gt500 had about 350bhp..the super snake had a super version of the 427 producing around 520hp which in the 60's must have been mind blowing..you can buy that unique performance mustang with 725bhp!!!!!!!
