Induction kit

I am sure this has been asked many times.
Do you need a map to use say a short ram induction kit?
Or can you get one that the original sensors plug into?

I have the prodrive map on mine.

So long as the pipe diameter remains the same you'll be mostly OK with changing the induction kit. Some of the perrin ones come with a bigger maf tube though (you'll spot the bulge) so do check and be sure.

Even with the prodrive map the target AFRS are pretty rich so you'll be OK if it leans you out a little bit.
 
Ah dave sure the sound alone has to be worth 20-30 bhp ???? ???? ???? ???? ???? ???? ???? ????

Not wanting it for bhp gain. Have enough ;-)
But heard one the other day and sounded nice without a BOV.
Just wanted to know more about them, hard to know what they'll be like on your own car.

Scooby clinic are perrin stockists 4 UK but price of sterling is crazy now so might be cheaper from them direct if going for perrin
