I've had a leaky boot in my B4 for a while now, so I've pulled everything out to see if I could figure it out. I thought it was the rubber seal but if seems to be coming in through the passenger side light. What I'm wondering is what's the best sealant for this sort of job?

long shot here , but when i bought my b4 it had the same problem, passenger side just above the light there was a wire for the antenna running over the boot seal, thus causing it to not seal properly and leak.

I pulled the light out and the foam seal is there, not great but not too bad either, but there's a foam seal as part of the light too, which is fairly wrecked. Also, the top bumper mount bolt seems to be letting in the water too That actually had water on the threads.
