Rattle at low rpm around 1000 rpm to 2500

Only there when car is warm after around 30 mins drive sound like a loose heat sheild but can't find anything loose doing my nut the last few weeks anyone any ideas?
 
Could be the shields on the exhaust manifold ciaran or it could be the cat in the uppipe starting to break up!!!

Sorry dec was half asleep didn't read this proplery car has a Sti uppipe so not that

@ciaran sounds like a gasket or heat sheild to me but can't see anything loose
 
Same kinda rattle in my 05 legacy twin scroll not the cat and not the heat shield,still no idea what it is.its really bad on down shift and hard acceleration..

Only hear mine when sneaking into the estate after a night shift or when parking not that loud just annoying i defo cant hear anything when down shifting or hard acceleration but pure lovely angry flat 4 :subaru:
 
something simple ciaran pipe on the bulkhead coming off the clips would it do it on a hill start

Could the bolt holding the down pipe to the gearbox be lose?

Ciaran when i had my leggy had a rattle like that ended up been the end of a bolt that broke off and was caught inside the heatsheild on one of the down pipes.(top of bolt were you would use the socket was tight as fook.
Let it cut out with the clutch as slow as you can and get sombody to listen in the engine bay as the engine vibrates when cutting you should be able to pin point it.
Well thats how i found mine anyway :thumbsup:

[/quote]ah not so bad mine is nasty I had to take all my heat shields off and the rattle is still there...:(I hope you have more luck with yours.
