Has anyone tried one of these out on their Impreza, they are currently developing a version for the legacy and im thinking to switch back to the tmic setup. Most Grimmspeed products are top quality but i just want to check if anyone has any direct experience with them?

Can you not use a newage sti intercooler Dan ive no idea just asking as i know fook all
but cheap option if you could

no, i would need to swap the intake manifold to swap to sti tmic, not worth the hassle

No matter how efficient the intercooler is by itself, the legacy scoop still won't supply enough air for the power you want to run. Stick with the fmic as you already have the work done on it.

There is plenty of legacy's making decent power with TMIC setups, i dont think i really need the fmic at the power levels ill be at, more reliable, less laggy with a tmic setup, Its rated up to 500whp they say! More insurance friendly too sure ill wait and see how the US guys get on with it when it comes out.
