pads for standard Hawkeye

Hi

I have Hawkeye on hatch with completely standard discs, callipers and pots.
It is time to change pads to new ones as breaking in not so good as it was before. Other thing is that brakes are making noise when breaking so time has come.
My question is - is there a sense of changing pads to something more "racing" style as Red stuff (or green stuff) by EBC or just buy standard pads for it?
I would consider different discs as well, but that is all about costs on it. Current discs are fine, there is no urgent need to change them, but pads need to be changed (at least front).
Any suggestions on it much appreciated.
Thanks

Prob no need to stray from the oem pads man
However a more performance pad will stop you quicker but ull pay a bit more for em its really up to yourself but i had a near miss recently and was very happy id spent abit on my pads disks hoses brake fluid and tires but just a good set of pads will help you out

i'v a new set of either carbon Loraines or ferdo's ds2500 there for standard sliding calipers if your interested

Ds2500 would be nice on it

+1 There the Cls are a bit extreme

DS2500 would kill my discs in month time I think :)

I just had a word with my mechanic, he advised to try to buy them online or from someone who have them on stock.
Joe - PM sent, give me price on what you have (possibly I would take carbon Lorraines if they are good).
I was looking to mount them myself as I want to paint my standard pots to some good colour (like green on ferrari red) but I think I will leave it untill summer time.
I dont have a garage where I can do it so I need to wait for warm sunny days.
(light green as on new WRX concept car would look great but not on standard alloys that I have :D)

Is say the de2500 would be grand
I have them on mine and fook all wear on disc few trackdays
On them aswell

Ferodo ds2500 there if you want

Joe, thanks for those pads.
My mechanic fitted them today, all is perfect.
Need to do some distance to "fit" them properly to discs, but even now you can feel difference :) you can kiss front window when braking :D
Thanks again for that Joe.

Huge diference, but as I said, need to do some distance before they will fit properly to discs.
Looking forward to test them in few days (dont want to overheat them so I will take it easy for few days, maybe till weekend :D)

I am happy as well :multijump: as it is good to have proper brakes back again :)

So just a quick update.
I am so happy that I took those pads of you Joe :multijump:
I had some craic today at some back roads so I warmed those pads very well, went other road and when I was going 140 small dog went into street.
:yellowthumb: you can imagine my face after I pressed brake to the floor! I was kissing front window on my car and G power of that braking just took breath of my chest.
Comparing to old pads, I had no brakes at all!
Joe I owe you :xmas_cheers: big time
Once again thanks

Hehe Good one.
I know most of you guys would say, ah just normal brakes as most of you i would say using brembos with better discs and pads but for me it is HUGE diference.
