Aftermarket boost controllers

When it's on full boost 1.5 the needle is jumping up and down a small bit
Reading up on it and people are saying oe boost unit is not up to the job and spikes hence the movement in the reeding
:dontknow:

You would have to map it kieth as the duty cycles would be different from oe valve to three port

Money for a decent boost controller even second hand would near pay for the 3 port and a tweak

It will deffo be a 3 port of some kind and a map for 95
What else should I look at doing while I'm getting it mapped
Just put a cosworth filter in
Thanks
Keith

Yeah fresh set of plugs heat range 7 , fuel filter and a panel filter , oil/filter change should cover it .

Who you getting to map it?

Plugs are not that old and oil and all filters just done last week
Joe power mapped it last time out on the Mondello trackday so I think I'd get him again
Bit of a pain getting lads over to map it or even going to the uk
Andy Forrest did my old type r I'd love him to map it but its loads of hassle

I agree

Realistically though the 3 port should been advised at 1.5bar boost with the last map.

road trip keith as i'm thinking of heading over as well   sure he might do us a group buy :dontknow:

Me and scally did it Larne-Stranraer ferry and about 3-4 hours drive to the harbour in Edinburgh not so bad nice road trip

Is your car mapped already Keith..?

Ignoring the gauge, can you feel it in the car?
Could be the gauge or sender unit either, is your gauge sender unit T pieced into the vacuum feed to fuel reg? As that's not ideal.

Car is mapped ken for maxol e5
Can't really feel it in the car
Just the gauge is bouncing up and down at full boost
Not sure what way it's fit as Ciaran fit them
