What Engine do i have

Hi folks,
Iv just bought a 2002 Forester Turbo 'S'
id like to pep up the power and top speed,
But first i need to know what bits and bobs to buy.
So the question is.
"What's my engine" ?
 
i postd on your other tread we need to know if the engine is standard or modded and whats mods you have then advise from there mark :thumbsup:
 
Ecu map
BiggerTurbo
Wrxor Sti heads
exhaust
Uppipe
Top or front mount intercooler
Bigger injectors
Forged internals
All depends on the dosh ya wanna throw at it
 
Hello If it was me,

Eibach springs
Good brake pads c.l rc5+ or EBC yellow stuff
Braded brake lines ( good brake fluid)
Good tires when needed (Bridgestone ,Goodyear ect)
Remap and put a fruityer back box on.

Then leave it alone

self leveling suspension on the rear.


calipers only 2 pots.

basically its a 2001/02 wrx engine but with milder cams.


top speed and subarus not an ideal or usual plan someone looks for.

power upgrade yes.

no need for induction kits or dump valve or anything.

the turbo is the most restrictive item on the car.


if you are not planning on mapping. do not change a thing.
 
Please excuse my ignorance. But when you say re-map .
You are talking about the EcU being reprogrammed am i correct.
How much is this work and where should one get it done. :police:

turbo change to classic sti
injectors
fuel pump
map

+80-100bhp

decat
turbo change to new age sti
injectors
fuel pump
3 port
map
fmic if desire

+100-110bhp


obviously few bits in between as in service items. plugs, fresh air filter etc.

Can do all start to finish.
 
Id leave it alone if I was you... Not to be rude but it's not ever going to suck paint off walls going by... It's a jeep at end of day.... I'd keep the reliability in it and keep it as it is...
To give you an idea, to get that 100 bhp will probably be near be around 2k euro..... And reliability will be sacrificed.

Best off forgetting the whole fast JEEP idea and buy a newage impreza sti CAR :)
