3 port boost solenoid

Well lads just looking for some info, what is purpose of 3 port boost solenoid and also is there a uprated 2 port solenoid or would i be better off getting a 3 port,

Some say 3 port makes boost a bit more stable and can make a car easier to map as a result, it removes the restrictor pill from the system too usually, its not something you can just throw on though, i fitted mine and was getting boost spikes until my map was tweaked

Ye i'l definitly get my map tweaked afterwards but just want to see 1st the benifits or will i just uprate tge standard one or is there much point

Its not giving hassle to be fair. Any recommendations on where to buy 3 port??

I got secondhand 3 port solenid from dave at stituning for my blobeye, got it mapped also and found it holds full boost for longer throughout rev range, you can get them new from the usual suspects, scoobparts, scoobyworld, rcm etc

Hi.

Its related to more stable boost control.

Do not fit one until time of map.

No you dont uprate 2port one.

Depending on a car and turbo the car may be perfectly fine.

Its 2.0 twin scroll sti mapped to 360bhp, just looking to upgrade tbh nit that its giving me trouble

Joe mapped it? Could already be a 3 port in it. It'll need a tweak afterward anyway.
