cold start sensor location

Hi, i need to change the cold start sensor in a 94 impreza. Any ideas where it is, i pressume if i could find it that it would be easy to change?

when the engine is very cold like early in the morning it takes a few seconds to start and you need to put your foot on the accelerator. If the engine is warm it starts no bother at all.

The guy who sold me the car and three mechanics all think its the sensor.
 
They probobly mean the temp sensor that feeds the ECU. It's on the water manifold between both cylinder heads. On V3 and newer, it's the brown (2 wire) under and behind the alternator. On V2 and earlier, it faces rearward, under the inlet manifold, also brown and 2 wire.
