NCT and winter tyres

I need to put mine through the nct soon. Its out since the end of august, front left is bad and will fail and the rest are not so great. Was going to stick on my 17's that are almost new. Any problems with going through nct this time of year on winters?

I may be wrong but I think as long as they have the correct thread depth and the e stamp there fine

Have had several cars pass no problems with winter tyres on during Aug-Sept etc. Only things checked for tyres seems to be whether enough thread depth left, inflated correctly and if has the "E" mark on them.

Grand ill think ill throw them on so this week and put car through NCT.

Looking at new tyres for daily driving/fast road use a few have caught my eye:

Goodyear eagle F1 asymmetrical 2
Bridgestone RE050A
Bridgestone Adrenalin RE002

They are all around the same money approx.

Anyone try the new Bridgestones they are supposed to be getting good reviews so far.
