02 tmic onto a 98 classic. Questions

I have researched it and found a step by step on how to. And it doesn't look too bad. I know u need a different scoop and under tray. But all these posts said it run perfectly without remap and there was no need. Is this true.
Also any other info u can give me be great. Cheers lads.
 
nothing is ever straight forward. there are a few things that have to be done, just want to know about the other stuff
 
You don't have to map it
an Irish one anyway
but as far as I know
you don't get any benefit from it unless you remap for it

Think I'll leave it till I can properly afford the fmic with remap. And just get a replacement tmic for my classic. Anyone know of a cheapish one going. Surly I don't have to remap it if I put on a classic wrx tmic
