V5 Apexi Power FC

yo peeps

I just bought a Apexi power fc & commander, from a lad hwo has a V4 STi type R.... and he said he orderd the wrong version for his car..but he now has the corect version" and its runing perfect.
he was seling it advertised as a "Apexi power fc to suit V5/V6 STi"
The serial number on the Apexi box says......... "414AF005".............But when i check online i get this info??

now i think this means the Power FC i just bought is the wrong version for my car ..(v5 STI type R 1998)???
