Gearbox and diff question

If I'm putting a jap wrx gearbox into an Irish turbo impreza. Do I need to put in the jap wrx rear diff aswell or is just the box ok.
Another question is if I put in a fmic do I need to remap the car or is it ok. I was told a fmic is better than tmic cos it helps car run better.
 
unless your sure of the ratio of both boxes I would fit the diff too,and yes if you fit a front mount you need to map it
 
As above box and diff must match otherwise say goodbye to your center diff and then you'll have a front wheel drive Impreza if your lucky
 
FMIC without a map not wise. And pointless with a TD04.

No JDM wrx boxes were 3.54 so yes will need the rear diff also.
