radio not working?

For a while now my radio hasnt been working, the CD player and ipod connection work fine.
the tuner however gives me nothing, it was never great to begin with, fuzzy reception, this has gotten worse and now its as if the aerial is unplugged at the rear which it isnt!
any ideas to fix or recommendations who could fix it!
Have an upcoming roadtrip to nurburgring looming so would like this sorted seeing as how I will be in the car alot!!

plug in a different radio that will determine whether it is the head unit or not for a start
if its not that then must be the aerial cable , maybe its damaged somewhere

Cheers Colm, ill try a different radio tomorrow, have an old sony yoke upstairs! If that doesnt solve it you know any places that specialise in this kind of thing?

I could ring a lad i know who does auto electrics and ask him who does it if you want
Check if it is the head unit first
Hopefully it is a easy fix

Cheers colm, ill have a quick gander myself and if it needs an expert ill let you know! A crowd in clondalkin do audio something or other but have no experience of them and dont like leaving the car anywhere strange!

I would imagine you would just leave the head unit in
