I noticed when doing my last oil change over the weekend that the heatwrap on my up pipe is knackered and cracking and starting to come off, also the heatshielding on my headers is rusted badly and loose and probably worth removing. It would probably make sense to do both at the same time. Is it much work to take out the up pipe and headers to wrap them, also whats the best way to take off the metal heatshielding?
Any idea how much wrap i would need for a set of EL headers and twinscroll up pipe? Im tempted to splash out on some gtspec headers and up pipe, but i dont think they would be any benefit with the vf36, from what im told the spec C ones are fairly good. but then again, i maybe upgrading turbos soon! to a 20G sized snail. hmmmmm.....
Also whats the best wrap to get and where is the best place to buy it?
