Poor running

I have a 2004 WRX which is standard exept for a Blitz cat back, it's done 39k

At higher revs and when sitting at motorway speeds then foot to the floor i get what feels like hesitation/ lumpy running

The speed picks up slowly but it feels rough (not quite a misfire)

I had the car serviced (inc plugs) at the weekend but it's still the same

I was running on 95 ron but this last tank i switched to BP Ultimate

Any ideas what it could be or will the dealers be able to diagnose it from their computer?

cheers

at what sort of rev range is it happening....?a mate of mine had same sort of problem, and it was his 02 sensor on the down-pipe... :dunno:

i'd say 3-3.5k upwards

i guess thats when it's under load - lower revs it's perfect and idles spot on

nope - i'm pretty usless :)

if i took it to the dealers would they be able to tell whats wrong as soon as they plug the computer in?

Robby in my experince with these senosr's and i have changed
a few

Is when they start to go sometimes the fault will NOT show up on
a standard €50 diagnostic test at your main dealer.

In my opion your aswell off to find a mate or club member with the same modle/year
as your car and simply for 10 mins swap firstly the O2 sensor go for a blast , then the MAF
again go for a blast and you will see straight away which one needs replacing (if any).

Niall.
