Gents,

I've been discussing the use of Prolong in Subaru's with a guy at work - I've used Prolong before in normal cars, but never been keen on using it for a high performance car - he says that it is perfectly fine to use in all makes of Subaru's and doesn't know what the fuss is. I don't know - never been to keen to use in any of my Subaru's. So, I just wanted to get the general thoughts of the use of products like Prolong in Subaru's.

Does anyone here use anything of the sorts - or do you chose to stay well away like I do...?!?! :ponder: :ponder: :dunno:

Have never heard of it before, but after looking at a few pages of their website they don't fill me with confidence. Very crude looking and tacky (blonde) website. Would need to do more research to convince me.

Been looking into this as well - they sell it at milsport.co.uk ( http://www.milsport.co.uk/cgi-bin/jump_nav.cgi?start=0&cat=9x14&product_type=Classic ). I don't know - but you use Lucas in your fuel - so why not use some other products in your car...?? Is it all based on word-of-mouth - what we Subaru Drivers class as Gospel, and what we don't. :dunno: :dunno: I used Prolong in a company car I drove before - Mazda 6 2.3 Sport, and I could feel the difference once used. Car ran loads smoother and quieter – but that was a Mazda – not a Subaru - even though they look a lot alike now.

Scruff - I wouldn't judge a book by it's cover. :D :D

Don't get me wrong, I would DO the blond Miss Prolong, its just that it sounds too much like a Viagra alternative :D

Pill or a Blonde - there is no alternative. But if the blond isn't doing it for you, and the pill is - I'd look for a new Miss Prolong. :D

Ive recently put prolong transmission addative into my V5 Sti Type R.
Works a treat.
Smoother gear changes.
Well worth the money, but i agree its cheesy advertising
