New hoses

Niallyboy

Petrolheads
Lads some of the piping (hoses) around my turbo is wrong .

I must of, at some stage, split a hose , done a DIY job, parked the car up and
forgot about it :hammerhead: :hammerhead:

Big thanks to Wagon Dec / Scoobycolm / RobspeC for spoting this and all the advice

So basically i need new hoses from turbo to boost solenoid , i need restrictor & pill and i guess it would
be a good time to replace the other few hoses around the turbo etc.....

So im just wondering what are my options , Am i just aswell ordering direct from Subaru or is there other
options ...........Samco maybe ??

NIall.

You can buy lengths of silicon Samco boost pipe to the suitable diameter required Niall... and knowing Subaru's OEM prices for most things this would probably work out cheaper. You can pop the restrictor pill out of the existing pipe too and re-use it to save sourcing a new one.

Welding tip very same as pill can be got in any hardware just get right size one think mine was .9

yours is v4 from memory and running 3port.

so doesnt have a restrictor pill

is it running an apexi 3port for the power fc or a manual boost controller?

why do you think you have issues.

what boost is it currently at?

How long have you got Dave...Niall has plenty of issues :icon_biggrin:

19 penalty points...that was a funny story at the AGM

:multijump:

Those points were just resting in my account :icon_razz:

Hi dave , my car is only boosting to 1.1 bar, it should be 1.3 bar .
It feels slugish , lumpy , it will only creep past 120 mph and simply
just dose not feel right .........it feels slow even though she pulls through the gears .

When i mentioned it to the three stooges (see above :icon_nana:) , it was noted
that there, possibly might be an issue with the pipe work around turbo.

Yes Dave V4 engine running Subaru 3 port

I feel a new lamda sensor will sort the issue , as i had similar probs before and
that done it but could be wrong :dontknow:

Lads thanks for all the replys some great links aswell

Niall.

If yours is 3 port

this is how it should be plumbed with 3 separate pipes without any restrictor pill like Dave has mentioned above...

so if the car is running a 3 port there's no need for a restrictor pill is this correct or just the case with niall's car. as there no restrictor pill in mine either

none in any running 3port.

and niall. really could be anything. plumbing, restriction, compression loss, turbo issues etc.
