hope to clean the engine bay tomorrow first time in 6 years any tips besides covering the alternator :dontknow:
 
Know any valeting places?

There's some stuff you just paint onto hoses and buff. Don't know what it's called sure someone will be on to advise

leave the bonnet closed lol .

you will need a good all purpose cleaner and a set of detailing brushes to get into the tricky hard to reach areas , got a full set off clean car in january , cleaner dressing and brushes for less than 40 quid i think , check them out in the traders section
 
I use Gunk to loosen up the dirt and grime. Then some old toothbrushes abd a steam cleaner. I finish it off then with Autoglym rubber and vinyl cleaner.
 
when doing mine i use autogylm engine and machine cleaner and adgited it,lighty spray with water
mind any electrics and dry off,and for hoses i use areospace 303 for shine.
