Lambda Sensor for MY01 V6 Irish Turbo

JAMIE-TYPERV6

Octane Boostaholics
Morning all,

My suspected bad fuel issue with the wagon a month back turned out to be a slow and unresponsive Lambda sensor. I have every sensor spare from my Type R for swapping into the wagon so as to get me out of a hole if needs be... bar a Lambda which I sold to Brian a few months back.

Long and short of it is I need a new one... anyone have a spare new one... or nearly new... or can anyone advice where I can get the generic Bosch one with the appropriate fitting kits rather than buying the genuine OEM Subaru Bosch item which will break my wallet!

Any help would be greatly apprecaited!

Cheers,

Jamie.

Get onto Ciaran - he knows where to source them for a good bit less than OEM prices - he probably even has some in stock

Cheers Brian,

Yeah... He was the one who advised me of the cheaper non Subaru... but Bosch branded ones. Haven't been able to get him of late. Busy, busy fella.

Just hoped someone on here may have known to save me bothering him.

I just got the denso number off the existing one i had and got it in the local motor factors no problem.

Can bring to AGM if any use. Barely used for a week to rule out a maf issue on the classic. 50 quid takes it.

Hey Eoin,

If that came out of your Hawk... than I don't think it's compatible.

AFAIK... from what Ciaran told me... there is a difference in Classic and Newage ones.

Any part number on the one you have that I could check against my own?

Cheers,

J..

Jesus... :shock2: I think the OEM one through Subaru is cheaper than that... 180ish!!

I bought new from c+r last year

Part number: 22690AA260 Oxygen Sensor **non UK** retail €239.21 disc 10%= €215.29 + 23%vat = €264.81

NOT CHEAP!

Sorry Eoin... assumed this was out of your Newage... I missed the very obvious reference to your Classic :icon_rolleyes: If it was a V5/6... I'll definately take it!! As I think the V1-4 was a different type... not zirconia like the V5/6.

Bloody subarus they go through the lambdas almost as keenly as fuel.
My Type-R developed some issues with unstable idle, I bet its lambda, as MAF has been changed and the same issue is there.
Its the 3rd Lambda I've put into this car since 2009
