hot tanking

alri lads ive got the engine halfs split and wana get them cleaned up before its rebuilt ive been looking at ways to clean it and hot tanking keeps comeing up bt on the other hand some people are sayin this can only be done on cast iron blocks and it will destroy aluminium blocks.wats the best and cheapest way?cheers

Could get it chemically cleaned. or send the woman down the shops, and slap it on hot was in diswasher, make sure to only use detergent, no tablets or salt for obvious reasons

^^^ This. Make sure she's not in the house. They see red when they open the dishwasher to find Brembo's in it.

Definitly get her out of the house... ive tried bringing her to the bedroom, but the Dish washer cycle last longer so munsoned.
