well basically im not driving my classic sti yet but i try to start it up every once in a while and take it out the odd time...
recently it has been shooting out a sh*t load of white smoke out of the exhaust and im not sure what its from only a few things i can think of...
maybe its the shitty weather and water got into the exhaust?
the exhaust is heat wrapped maybe it soaked up some water?
anybody else know what it might be from kinda concerned as i have no idea,
engine still sounds good no knocks or blue smoke only white.

EDIT: anybody know how to take off door cards as well? (98 sti type r)

sounds like you have water in the exhaust alright, if you can let it run or drive it till it all goes, if it doesnt go after a drive your in trouble.

door cards have a few screws around the door handle a lever, after there out its just pull off clips that pop off handy with a little pull out on them

Probably condensation in the exhaust, especially if the car is kept outside. When you start it up, let it warm up and give it some revs as well, blow the carbon out that can build up while idling.

ah cheers lads bit worrying seeing that much smoke coming out of the exhaust....
thanks for the help duffman last time i pulled a door card off the micra i broke half the clips on it hope it doesn't happen on the scoob :angry1:
