Lads, I know this has probably been covered elsewhere but I was wondering, is there a non-turbo version of the ej20? Are they hard to get? Is it possible to mate the short block to a 1.6 cylinder head?

ther are 2ltr non turbos alright, not hard to find really, not sure about the short block to 1.6 cyl head conversion though

it would only be worth the bother if you were to drop a turbo engine into it, but then it would be only worth white gitting the engine, box, diffs and suspension oh and brakes! thats were it starts to get exxxpensive!

I wouldnt mind the labour, id do it myself but i guess this wagon just aint gonna get no faster..
