***HELP*** fitting new age roof spoiler.

The original ones on Hawkeyes are screwed in from factory.
Am hoping to get one of these myself and from what i can gather you need to just Bond it on with something, dunno what is best, tigerseal/no more nails or something along those lines.
(you probably could screw it on DIY style if you were mental!!)

yeah was thinking tigerseal or T7 or something like that, just need to find the right one, some thing that will take to the metal and paintwork.

it seems dodgy to me for some reason, i can imagine it taking off sometime im on the motorway :shock2:

mental is right, i dont like the idea of drilling holes in the paintwork and screwing it on, would probably be the most secure way but i wouldnt have the balls to do it :icon_hang:

also cant decide on a plastic one with the sides sprayed blue and the middle black or a carbon fibre one :ponder2: decisions :icon_lol:

We used to use tiger seal for fitting factory option spoilers on Nissans years ago.... best choice by far...and stronger than Tech7. Just tape it done with masking tape to hold it as it setsand leave it for at least 24 hours during warm weather... or longer if it's cold or damp.

Go for the carbon fibre option i reckon.
Thats what i plan on doing when i get the dollars, let me know when you plan on buying, we might be able to combine shipping.

Cheers jamie, yeah il prob go with the tigerseal, its trialed and tested so cant go against it.

will do eli, il get one as soon as possible, just trying to find the cheapest around.

ebay seems the cheapest i think, and if its made of carbon fibre then im sure the quality will be good.

here i have 2 options - carbon fibre

1. http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=150674946689#ht_574wt_1037

2. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Carbon-Fi...arParts_SM&hash=item415899c0f9#ht_1383wt_1037

heres the cheapest plastic one i can find which is far cheaper but add getting it sprayed and its more expensive than carbon fibre http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/ROOF-SPOI...arParts_SM&hash=item4d000bdf9b#ht_1927wt_1270

yeah sharing postage should work out

I like the look of the first one you posted there.
It says postage is £25 and each additional item is £5 so we could go £15 each, they might even knock a couple more pound off if we buy 2!
Im not in a position to buy this week but should be soon enough.

Cool, we will go with that one when the time comes

il let you get back to me when your ready to go ahead, theres no rush at all as im not depending on it in anyway :smokin:
when we're ready i will contact them about a discount on the double buy.

in the mean time, stock up on the tiger seal, il be loading it on
