well lads!! while the car is in too have the belt done i was thinking about putting on a sports cat :ponder:good or bad choice? dont want to go down the road of taking the cat in and out for the f**king NCT. would any 1 know the best 1 too use? CHEERS lads

had been looking at the miltek sports cat for mine , but the price is crazy Pat , just going to get the test done on mine and get a de-cat pipe and centre section , map her and not worry about it for 2 years lol , just put the cat back in for test day ,

Im in NCT mode at the minute. Passed it today for the second time in 6 months. Have two years till the next one so the decat will be going on again :)

my last scooby[classic] had 3 nct and i had a decat on it. after 3rd test my mechanic told me the threads on the housing of the turbo, where the cat bolts on were badly worn form taking the cat on and off. so we left the cat on.so thats why i would prefer too go down the sports cat route

They are all pretty pricey... TSL do a nice freeflow sports cat. They are currently closing their online shop and clearing current stock so you might grab yourself a bargain.

There is a place in Kildare or Meath that do top class custom exhausts. I seen someone post on here about them. I wonder would they make you one up ?

EDIT: Here it is http://www.souhan.ie

Noticed this on that site:

"If the ceramic inside your converter becomes clogged or coated with carbon, lead or oil, then the converter’s efficiency is greatly reduced."

Anyone know how you can check your cat for this type of damage and possibly clean it? Is it impossible since the cat is usually in middle of two pipes?
