Lads just wondering is it necessary to have the heat shield on? Took mine off today to fit lamda sensor and now it looks like i'll need to remove the I/C to put it back on.

and when the rain settles on your bonnet and you are in traffic and next thing you see "smoke" coming from under your bonnet, dont be too alarmed and run for the fire extinguisher as it is only steam

i had an audi before and this happened, its funny now but for a second i was wondrein if she was about ta go up in smoke.

Ive been running without one for a few years, Had a Spec R one but was crap fit so binned it.
