Maxol E5, is it not available anymore?

Since i got the legacy i've been trying to only put Maxol E5 in it,
Reading through forms & threads its recommended,
the maxol garage is a bit out of the way but its an excuse to go
for a spin :icon_lol:, was talking to a friend of mine today that has
a s4 telling him that i'm using E5 etc but he tells me that it cant be got in ireland anymore,
he used to always get it for his car until
he was told this from a maxol garage owner,

Is this true?
should i be using a additive?

Maxol garages only sell E5.. Garage owners or staff generally haven't got a fanny's notion whats going on.. What station is it?

Make sure the garage is infact affiliated with Maxol though, I heard of a case in Dundalk, 2 maxol garages up the road from each other, turns out one of them just had maxol branding and wasn't associated with maxol at all and was selling dodgy petrol and diesel.
 
Place in Newbridge, out the kildare road,
I'll have a look at the station next week and see if it looks Genuine

is E5 ok for my 99 Legacy anyway without additive? Chap i got it from said it was mapped but who knows
also what is my 99 legacy B4 known as/called? as in mk3? or other nickname

He was talking to me about E5
but must have got mixed up
with the person he was talking with

That one in newbridge is maxol allright.

One at old Tesco ond beside gaa in Naas cool aswell :thumbsup:

What abpout fitzpatricks in Kildare town
I filled up there but E5 wasnt written on the pump as it
was in the other stations
 
Funny you mention that,
My local Maxol, where i have been getting E5 for years...
Just got pumps refurbed and the new stickers on them dont mention E5 anywhere.
It was there since E5 introduced, but going by the staff i wouldnt be bothered tryin to ask them!!
 
Think we need a sticky saying that E5 is the only fuel Maxol sells whether its says on pump or not..
How many threads is this now about E5 being not available??????
