Lambda 0.96, CO 1.94% High idle - mechanic needed for diagnosis

As title says, who can I go to here that has the diagnostic equipment to debug these exhaust/emission problems (at reasonable cost)

I did NCT, failed, fixed MAF problem, re-did NCT and failed again with same problem.

I have a sneaking suspicion it is dodgy Lambda/O2 sensor causing these problems or air leak in exhaust or gasket leak even (NCT man said he smelt oil in exhaust???). If there is oil getting in that could have destroyed the O2 sensor so I'd like to know this before paying €300 for a new lambda sensor.

Who can I bring car to for a look?

Same thing happened me. Failed, swapped MAF, failed again. New O2 sensor. Passed.

O2 is expensive though. Think I paid near €300 for mine.

Did you find the car ran better after getting new o2 sensor then? How about fuel economy? - apparantly bad o2 causes ECU to think its running lean and so it inject more fuel than needed and causes rich output then...

I know they are expensive for STI (take two weeks to make them apparantly) - it seems that the non-STIs though are only about €90 for some reason...

Dave do you look at or fix this kind of problem at all? Anywhere near Dublin?

not from subaru genuine they are certainly not e90.

Front 02 sensor from Subaru Main Dealer is e437 from memory.

Stay away from non genuine imo. More heartache. Do it once and right.

Second is fine also once Genuine.

I see ads selling front or rear ones :dontknow:

Are there two of them on the car?

That makes it harder to find out which is not 100% working then doesn't it.

It seems Denso make the OEM one - is this the front one for my car?
