Det Alarm fitting ......... need help

Ok Here it goes .....
Got a det alarm a few months back .... but needless to say its still sitting in the glove box
Now, from looking in the 'how to section' , packaged instructions & poking around under the bonnet -> I cant seem to make out where its supposed to be mounted
And to make things worse I cant seem to locate the correct size bolt (M8 x 30 I think) to mount the sensor to the engine block !!
What to do ............................

And finally Whats the best way to get power to the unit ??
As You may have Gathered Im totally useless when it comes to things like this
So any help would be great......................

You need to remove a bolt from the engine block which you can see from my pictures (down infront of the intercooler). Then buy a longer bolt in a hardware store so you can mount the sensor.

I took power from the cigarette lighter.

You have drawn those red boxes in the correct area. Now, looking at the smaller red box, look down towards the ground and slightly to the right and you will see the bolt you need to take out. Soak it well in WD40 the night before as it will be a bitch to take out.
